Men’s thermal underwear – it’s what’s underneath that counts

If you know us at all, you’ll know that in sport we prioritise safety. Properly chosen men’s thermal underwear increases it. It also offers greater comfort (anyone who’s ever been beaten by the weather knows exactly what we mean). We assume that looks are the last stage of thinking when putting together outfits for heading into the mountains or for doing sports. The first should always be solid, sport-specific men’s thermal underwear.

When creating the colour sets, once again we went for basic – black and white. We also added elements in the colours of our top collections (ATTIQ Intensa collection). For production, we used materials that protect the body very well against heat loss (often additionally generated during cardio sports). We sewed using fabricswith merino fibre, we used tecnostrec and hypoallergenic materials with silver ions.

Men’s thermal clothing – why is it worth having?

Let’s be frank – the days when you protected yourself from the cold by putting on many layers of clothing (often synthetic and non-breathable) are long gone. Today, building a set that protects against the chill means looking for efficient, lightweight solutions – and these start with thermal underwear.

For some time now, solid men’s thermal underwear has been a truly essential part of men’s sports clothing sets. It enables you to do “more” – not only to achieve in sport, but also to look after others on the route.

Why is it worth having men’s thermal underwear?

• It keeps the body at the right temperature (doesn’t overheat it).
• It’s a thin, practically imperceptible insulating layer on the body – it adapts to your movements.
• It works perfectly for cardio sports (when the body changes temperature very quickly)
• It’s a good base layer under sportswear (it’s thin but warm; it’s enough to put a sweatshirt or jacket over it).
• It can successfully be worn in an urban style.
• It’s quick-drying (there are also models available that don’t retain odour and don’t require frequent washing).

Men’s thermal clothing doesn’t require special handling. It can be washed in the machine with other items. However, it doesn’t have to go in too often – models with an admixture of merino fibres don’t retain odours; they’re also antibacterial and hypoallergenic.

Men’s thermal underwear – tested by athletes

We create men’s thermal underwear which we design to fit the male physique. We pay attention to seam placement in areas where the body isn’t exposed to irritation.

Before the models reach the shop, however, we put them through thorough tests with friendly athletes from ATTIQ Team. They decide whether men’s thermal underwear fits well and meets all the requirements set for it.

Men’s thermal clothing – when will it work best?

We’ll answer simply: whenever there is even the slightest chance that your body is at risk of getting chilled. We’ve lived with sport since childhood and we know that a rapid change in body temperature isn’t hard to come by even (or perhaps especially!) in summer.

So we recommend men’s thermal clothing not only in winter (obviously) and in the transitional seasons (when it’s hard for you to maintain the right temperature) – it will also be suitable in summer, especially during night treks or a bivouac after an all-day cycling route.

Men’s thermal underwear and the type of activity – which sports should you wear it for?

There really are no limits here. Men’s thermal underwear isn’t assigned to any sport category. Of course, its most natural environment is skiing, snowboarding and everything in freezing conditions. Trekking likes it too (especially long treks), and it works well on bivouacs – we know plenty of people who take thermal underwear sailing and change into it in the evening when the boat docks at the harbour.

It surprised us recently, though it shouldn’t have, that our men’s thermal underwear is also worn by people who are always cold – people with circulation issues or those working outdoors, exposed to strong gusts of cold wind.
