Girls! Movement should be a pleasure. If until now the obstacle to starting sports that get your heart rate up has been the feeling of overheating, being “sweaty”, stuffiness – both in summer and in winter – we have a solution. A range of merino clothing (especially women's merino leggings) will remove these inconveniences.
What do we love about merino fibres? Let’s take a look at a few of their key features.
- If you’ve never worn merino before, you’ll love this thermoregulation! Merino wool regulates body temperature perfectly. It helps keep you warm on cool days and cool on warm ones. Thanks to this, merino tights or leggings are ideal for outdoor activities (both as a base layer under thicker or waterproof trousers, and worn “solo”).
- Your skin will thank you for it! No more spots or irritation after training – merino has antibacterial properties. Merino wool contains natural compounds that inhibit bacterial growth and prevent unpleasant odours. That’s why merino leggings stay fresh even after intense exercise.
- It will be soft and cosy. Merino wool is delicate and pleasant to the touch, and leggings made from it create a safe, soothing fabric cocoon for the skin. Thanks to the addition of a sporty, elastic fibre, the tights adapt to body movement, but do not cause chafing or irritation.
- Moisture? Forget it! Merino wool has the ability to absorb moisture, which means the leggings will keep your skin dry, even when you sweat. And there you go – comfort during physical activity maintained.
- Merino leggings are lightweight and thin. Tights made from this fibre do not restrict movement – you can easily use them, for example, at the ice rink for figure skating training.
- Solid clothing, meaning tights for years. Merino wool is durable and resistant to wear. Thanks to this, women's merino leggings can serve you for a really long time (of course, with proper care).
And yes – we agree that merino leggings (or more broadly: merino clothing) can be more expensive compared to those made from other materials, but the benefits that come from their properties mean the trousers will stay with you for years. Tights made from this fibre also don’t need to be washed as often as synthetic ones – after training, you can air them out. So it’s enough to have two or three pairs of such trousers in your wardrobe.
At ATTIQ we like to look for unconventional combinations of colours and patterns, however there are designs where we go for the most neutral solutions possible. We adopted this principle when designing women's merino leggings. We wanted pairing them into various sporty (and not only!) outfits to be easy and to happen without the “compromises” that leave you dissatisfied. We decided that in the Intensa collection, merino fibre leggings will be light blue. They will pair well both with classic black and with the stronger colours of this collection (orange, yellow).
You can wear merino fibre leggings all year round. Just look!
Merino leggings for spring
On cooler early spring days, merino will work perfectly as a “first layer” under trekking trousers or ordinary wide city “bells”. Merino leggings worn “solo” with an oversized sweatshirt or a long jumper will also look great.
Merino tights for summer
Thin and light merino leggings will protect the skin from UV radiation. It’s worth wearing them on long routes when your legs are exposed to sunburn. Paired with loose, airy tops or T-shirts, they can be ideal for summer walks, jogging, yoga, or outdoor dance classes.
Women's merino fibre leggings for autumn
Merino will keep you warm during autumn workouts. They will serve as comfortable, flexible, yet still thermal clothing (thermal underwear). Don’t forget to keep your chest warm too, and match your women's merino leggings for autumn with a gilet or a jacket insulated in strategic areas.
In winter
Wearing leggings as a thermal layer under ski trousers or waterproof trousers is a classic – a perfect solution during activities in the snow. Paired with a longer roll-neck and a sleeveless jacket, they will also look great at the ice rink.
Remember that the key to wearing merino leggings all year round is taking care of them. If you wash them – pay attention to the instructions on the label; don’t iron them – merino doesn’t really crease. Look after the fibres, and they will look after you. All year round. For many years.
