Let’s be honest: your speed on two wheels can be high enough that getting chilled, even in summer, isn’t difficult. At ATTIQ we have created men’s cycling sweatshirts that will become a permanent part of your cycling kit. We wanted them to truly be sportswear you’ll reach for without a second thought – they’ll keep your body warm, insulate against the wind, and fit the silhouette comfortably. Men’s cycling sweatshirts with the ATTIQ logo:
- have a cut adapted to a cycling posture (they are longer at the back);
- are lined with silicone tape, which prevents the fabric from slipping;
- have slightly extended sleeves (they protect the wrists from getting cold);
- have a raised collar that covers the neck and nape.
We sew ATTIQ men’s cycling sweatshirts from materials sourced from the European Union. We find the suppliers we work with at international trade fairs and forums for clothing manufacturers. Before a fabric is introduced into the collection, we test it “dry” and ask clothing pattern makers for their opinion. Next, models already sewn in our workshop in the Podhale region are passed on for field testing to friendly professional athletes. Their feedback is crucial – it determines whether we consider the sweatshirts finished or introduce further improvements.
Remember that any damage to ATTIQ clothing (including men’s sports sweatshirts) is repaired in our workshop even after the warranty period. Once a year we also organise a free repairs campaign for garments with our label. We want the clothes to stay with you for a long time – we follow the principle that if something can be repaired, it should be. This approach also makes it easier to create a capsule wardrobe – by choosing clothes that can be repaired if they get cut or stained, it’s easier to limit how many you have in your wardrobe, right?
Men’s cycling sweatshirts have a complex construction – on the one hand they must protect the body from the wind, and on the other they must not overheat it, especially on climbs. They’re also not the kind of garment you can take off and stash in a backpack, only to put it back on again a moment later (you can’t do that safely while riding).
When we created men’s cycling sweatshirts, we wanted the chosen materials to have the best breathability and wind-protection properties, and to be flexible – adapting to the body’s movements. Working on the men’s sweatshirts meant working on details – we even focused on ensuring that cold air wouldn’t get under the surface of the sweatshirt through the zip.
The guiding principle when creating ATTIQ clothing is the safety of the people who wear it. Reflective elements on clothing that can be used as outerwear are a must. That’s how we sewed men’s cycling sweatshirts too – we added tasteful reflective details to improve the athlete’s visibility on the route.
However, we wanted wearing reflectives to become second nature for you, so we knew they couldn’t be “in-your-face” – they had to be both high-visibility and aesthetic. We searched for a long time for materials that would have the properties of a classic reflective (sometimes even better!) and subdued colours. In the end, we found graphite reflective elements that fit perfectly into the ATTIQ aesthetic while also keeping you safer on the road.
We designed our men’s cycling sweatshirts for every season – snowless winters mean that many of you don’t stop outdoor training even in the coldest months. Cycling sweatshirts with the ATTIQ label are thin – they sit well under a jacket or gilet. Despite their non-standard thickness, they provide thermal comfort that lets you cover more kilometres even in really low temperatures. The material we used to sew the sweatshirts is flexible; even if you wear thermal base layers underneath, it will still drape well on the body.
ATTIQ’s autumn sweatshirt models are primarily those with added merino fibre (Technowool Merino). What’s characteristic of merino wool is that it efficiently retains body heat when the temperature is low and pleasantly cools you when it’s scorching outside. “Merino” also doesn’t hold odours – it’s enough to air the sweatshirt – and it’s also an antibacterial fibre.
Working on the extras in men’s cycling sweatshirts took us quite a bit of time. The priority was to create a product for years, with a timeless design aesthetic. We spent many hours thinking about pockets, which require an appropriate construction. Ultimately, in selected models we cut them so they’re easy to access (the opening is “on the slant”) even while riding. Pockets in cycling sweatshirts increase safety – you can put documents and your phone in them, which are crucial in emergency situations.
We care about the details – we concealed the seams in the sweatshirts – say goodbye to chafing while riding.
