If you know us even a little, you’ll know we’re more than cautious about sports accessories – movement is something natural to us, and clothing and accessories should adapt to it. The exception, however, is a running belt: for some, a gimmick – for us, solid support during a run. Discover ATTIQ running belts!
All right, but what’s it about? A race number belt is a different type of running belt, used to attach your race bib during sporting events – obvious, right? You know that. But did you know it also has a few other, quite interesting, functions?
- Comfort: a race number belt is lightweight and doesn’t restrict movement (unlike race numbers pinned to clothing), so it doesn’t get in the way while running or in other sporting disciplines. It can also be easily adjusted to the athlete’s body shape and the thickness of clothing layers.
- Ease of use: a race number belt can be put on and taken off easily (which is important when you need to change clothes quickly due to changing weather conditions or different disciplines during an event, e.g. in a triathlon).
- Comfort for spectators (and we do like supporters!): placing the race number on a belt allows officials and supporters to easily identify the athlete during the event, and also makes it easier to take photos or video of the competition.
- Protecting your clothing: using a race number belt helps you avoid attaching the number directly to a T-shirt or sweatshirt, minimising the risk of damaging the garment during the race.
And most important to us: safety! ATTIQ running belts are equipped with reflective elements and elastic loops for energy gels – take care of yourselves on the route!
We make our running belts according to a few basic principles: they should adapt to the body – we sew them from soft and extremely flexible materials. They should keep you safe – that’s why we sew in reflective elements and gel pockets. They must be lightweight – our belts are almost unnoticeable. They must hold the race number securely – see for yourself: everything stays in place. They should make you want to run in them – that’s why the belt colours match the rest of ATTIQ sportswear. Our running belts must be durable – that’s why we sew them from proven materials sourced from the European Union, test them on the route, and have them sewn by experienced seamstresses.
Looking for a running belt? Perfect – they’re waiting for you in our online shop and at the ATTIQ showroom in Chabówka. Before choosing a belt, pay attention to the aspects listed below.
- Size: the running belt should fit the athlete’s body well. That’s why it’s important to choose the right size to ensure comfort and safety while running, or choose belts with adjustable circumference.
- Material: the material the running belt is made from should be breathable and moisture-resistant to prevent overheating and sweating during training (even if it’s thin, when pressed against the body it can cause sweating and chafing). The material should also be easy to clean (mud alert!) and – at ATTIQ we sew running belts from flexible, breathable materials.
- Construction: the running belt should have a suitable construction that ensures safety and comfort while running. Pay attention to whether the belt is equipped with an appropriate fastening, such as Velcro or buckles; and also whether it has pockets or places for energy gels – so important over long distances.
Wondering whether running belts will cope in tough conditions or over really long distances? Fair point – there’s nothing more irritating than a race number coming loose, forcing you to stop running. Our race belts are tested by athlete friends: triathletes and ultramarathon runners. Based on their feedback, we introduce improvements and new solutions – we guarantee everything stays in place.
