Men’s Primaloft Intensa Gilet

Primaloft Intensa gilet was designed with those in mind who are looking for a versatile year-round addition to their wardrobe. The men’s Intensa gilet can be used in winter as an insulating layer under a thinner jacket, and in summer it provides thermal protection during sudden weather changes after an abrupt drop in temperature.

Intensa gilet was created in line with body mapping technology, dividing it into thermal zones. The areas most exposed to chilling – the front, back and stand-up collar – are made from quilted fabric with Primaloft insulation, while the sides are made from flexible Polartec Powerstretch that guarantees thermal comfort.

The quilted fabric is a three-layer material, where the outer and inner layers are RIP-STOP, and the middle layer is Primaloft Silver Eco synthetic insulation.

RIP-STOP reinforces the fibres both crosswise and lengthwise, giving the gilet mechanical durability. It also has the following properties: breathable, quick-drying and wind-resistant.

Primaloft Silver Eco synthetic insulation is a lofty and resilient non-woven fabric whose structure resembles wadding. It contains micro-gaps that trap air, protecting us from the cold. In terms of insulation, Primaloft works similarly to natural down. The micro-gaps in synthetic down effectively retain warmed air, i.e. the heat produced by the body. In addition, Primaloft Eco maintains a high level of breathability and compressibility and dries quickly. The thermal insulating layer is durable, does not clump and does not shift during use. Primaloft Silver Eco does not absorb excessive water, and even when wet it still retains its insulating properties. What’s more, the synthetic insulation fibres are capable of generating high surface tension, which allows additional water repellence and even faster drying.

Primaloft Silver Eco will be particularly appealing to those who care about the natural environment, because in the production of this type of insulation as much as 70% plastic bottles are used. The remaining 30% are virgin fibres, which create a soft, breathable and thermally efficient insulating layer. Primaloft Silver ECO is feather-light and provides warmth and cosiness as well as anti-allergic properties (resistance to fungi and bacteria).

Polartec Powerstretch, which we used on the sides of the men’s gilet, provides high thermal comfort and, thanks to the microfleece on the inside, insulates perfectly and retains heat on cool days. Powerstretch fibres guarantee immediate moisture absorption and pushing it to the outside. Thanks to its elasticity, Polartec Powerstretch fits the gilet perfectly to any body shape.
