Men’s Merino Lightweight 3D-Zone Intensa Longsleeve

One of the more important items in the Intensa collection, and a link between running, urban outdoor and outdoor, is clothing made from merino wool, which thanks to its properties will work perfectly for any form of activity as well as everyday city wear.

An experienced runner, ski tourer or climber knows the value of a base layer, the so-called first layer. The more versatile it is and the better it performs in different conditions, the better.

Longsleeve Merino Lightweight 3D-Zone Intensa helps regulate body temperature regardless of the weather. Thanks to the use of merino wool fibres and polyester fibres, this men’s top will keep you warm on frosty days, quickly wick away excess moisture and dry quickly during spring and autumn training.

A few words about how merino fibres work and why they are so unique. The wool fibres are soft and very fine, which means they can twist tightly. The twisting of the fibres creates a huge number of small air pockets that trap air—and as we know, air is an excellent thermal insulator. In this way we use our own energy and keep warm with the heat produced by our body. Besides the fact that when needed the men’s top maintains a comfortable temperature (keeps you warm), on warm days it wicks away excess moisture (in the form of vapour). Merino wool clothing retains warmth even when damp. Thanks to these properties, in merino wool clothing, both during intense effort and after a short stop you do not feel unpleasant chill, e.g. when you put a backpack on sweaty back or start moving after a moment of standing still.

Polyester fibres are technical fibres that are responsible for breathability and fast drying. They also increase the durability of the wool fibres and prevent them from deforming.

Merino wool and polyester fibres have been woven in such a way as to create spatial small squares, between which channels are formed to facilitate sweat evaporation and increase air microcirculation.

The low fabric weight of the top Longsleeve Merino Lightweight 3D-Zone Intensa – 162g/m2 allows it to be used primarily as a first layer (directly on the body). On the body side, the top has a 3D structure. However, it is also suitable as a main layer for training in spring or autumn, or in summer on cooler days.

The top is very light and gently stretchy, and the wool fibres make it very pleasant to the touch and against the skin. This makes the top very comfortable and versatile.

The classic cut with raglan sleeves guarantees a fit of the men’s top to any body shape (with less or more developed shoulders). The extended back protects the lower back from the cold.
