Men’s Merino Wool HT Space INTENSA sweatshirt

One of the more important items in the Intensa collection and a link between running, urban outdoor and outdoor activities is clothing made from merino wool, which thanks to its properties is ideal for any form of activity as well as for everyday city wear.

Merino is a high-quality wool obtained from merino sheep. Merino fibres are characterised by above-average protective properties in adverse weather conditions.

A few words about how merino fibres work and why they are so special. The wool fibres are soft and very fine, which means they can twist tightly. The twisting of the fibres creates a huge number of small air pockets in which air is trapped, and as we know air is an excellent thermal insulator. In this way we use our own energy and keep warm with the heat produced by our body. Merino wool is an excellent temperature regulator. Besides maintaining a comfortable temperature when needed (keeping you warm), on warm days it wicks away excess moisture (as vapour). This keeps the skin dry and prevents overheating.

Merino fibres are also characterised by high breathability, i.e. wicking away moisture and sweat. Because merino fibres are porous, moisture can spread evenly across them and then be pushed outwards. This is why garments made from merino wool fibres retain heat even when damp. Thanks to these properties, in merino wool clothing, both during intense exertion and after a pause you do not feel an unpleasant chill, e.g. when you put a backpack on sweaty back or start moving after being stationary for a while.

For people who value nature and like to be closer to nature, we have prepared a lightweight Merino Wool HT Space INTENSA running sweatshirt, which contains merino wool in its composition. The rest of the composition includes, among other things, polyester fibres, which stabilise and reinforce the delicate wool fibres in the sweatshirt.

The Men’s runningMerino Wool HT Space INTENSA sweatshirt is stretchy and is designed with a loose fit, so it will be perfect for runners and sportspeople from many disciplines who prefer less fitted clothing. The stand-up collar does not fit tightly around the neck, yet still protects against the cold. On the inside, the men’s sports sweatshirt has a structure of horizontal ribs, between which ventilation channels are arranged to speed up moisture wicking from the skin surface and facilitate air circulation.

The INTENSA collection merino wool running sweatshirt has a small zipped pocket in the lower right corner, which serves as a place to store small items: gels, a key or tissues. Raglan sleeves guarantee the sweatshirt fits different body shapes. Putting the sweatshirt on and taking it off is made easier by the zip, which, if necessary, helps ventilation (it can be unzipped to any height). We used a YKK zip with a lock that prevents the zip from coming undone on its own during movement.

The runningMerino Wool HT Space INTENSA sweatshirt was designed as a second layer, however it can be worn directly on the body. Thanks to its thermal properties, this sports sweatshirt is also recommended for trekking trips, ski touring, climbing and skiing.
