For a long time, we wanted to create a lightweight, insulating gilet – one that, thrown into a rucksack or bag, won’t significantly change the weight of your luggage, and when the temperature drops, worn on the body, will provide solid, pleasant warmth.
The women's Taiga Primaloft gilet consists of two parts: the main section – insulating the chest and back – and elastic inserts sewn into the sides – thanks to them it fits the body perfectly and moves with you. We sewed in two really deep pockets fastened with a flat zip, as well as a large internal one – it will fit a phone (this trick – keeping the phone close to the body – comes in handy during heavy frosts, which reduce battery level). The gilet is finished with a stand-up collar that protects the neck and nape from the wind.
When creating the Taiga Primaloft Gilet, we wanted to achieve the best possible warmth-to-weight ratio that a fabric can deliver for its weight. We made the outer part of the gilet (protecting the torso and back) from a fabric produced using Ripstop technology (a similar one is used in the production of mountain hammocks and down jackets), the inside of the gilet is an elastic mesh studded with pleasant-to-the-touch insulating Primaloft squares, Active EVOLVE series. The elastic side inserts of the gilet were sewn from warm Thermo Pro knitwear that wicks moisture and adapts to body movements.
We wanted the gilet to work both for solid mountain, running and cycling routes, but also to fit neatly into an urban-sport style. I think we've got it, right?
At ATTIQ, we believe it is possible to create timeless clothing. We sew our collections so that they pair well with sportswear in various colours and prints. ATTIQ clothing is made in our workshop in the south of Poland. We sew using materials from the European Union.
Properties of Primaloft insulation, Active EVOLVE series:
- provides warmth without increasing the weight and bulk of the insulation
- breathable - does not restrict moisture flow and ensures freedom of movement during all activities
- quick-drying - minimises heat loss
- provides good thermal insulation even when the insulation is wet
- versatile - can be used during various outdoor activities as an inner or outer clothing layer
- wind-resistant.
