VERTICAL POLARTEC technical women’s fleece

Multi-purpose Vertical Polartec technical fleece made from Polartec Power Stretch and Polartec Alpha insulation will perform perfectly both for everyday wear and for training (running, ski touring, skiing, mountain or ice climbing).

Polartec Alpha synthetic insulation (created using Polartec High Loft technology) retains body-generated warmth without adding weight, maintains a high level of breathability and compressibility, and dries quickly. The thermal insulation layer is durable, does not clump, and does not shift during use.

The protective layer of the Alpha insulation is breathable polyester, which protects against wind and light rain.

Polartec Power Stretch is characterised by excellent breathability, non-restrictive 4-way stretch fibres, and rapid moisture wicking. A durable outer layer and a soft-to-the-touch inner layer effectively draw moisture away from the skin and push it outwards.

Three mechanisms improve moisture wicking:

• high breathability of Power Stretch fibres (the fibres do not restrict moisture transport)
• “Touch points” of the inner Power Stretch layer absorb moisture from the skin surface and immediately push it outwards
• Power Stretch fibres dry at least twice as fast as cotton fibres.

• provides warmth without increasing the weight/bulk of the insulation

• does not restrict moisture flow and ensures freedom of movement during all activities
• quick-drying - minimises heat loss
• provides good thermal insulation even when the insulation is wet

• can be used during various outdoor activities as an inner or outer clothing layer
• wind-resistant.
