The jacket is made of the latest generation Polartec Power Shield softshell. It is a technologically advanced softshell, the concept of which refers to the 2-layer fleece insulation system and the water resistance / breathability of the material. In case of Power Shield, the softshell itself (without the need for fleece insulation) protects against adverse weather conditions and ensures breathability. The polyester surface with a velor structure retains air and provides a high heat index. The perforated membrane blocks 98% of the wind to prevent cooling. The remaining 2% of the wind circulates inside the fabric to prevent overheating. The waterproof surface does not absorb rain or snow (it has a waterproof DWR treatment), but it breathes perfectly and provides adequate thermoregulation. Power Shield is less noisy than the traditional top layer, it is durable (long life of the fibers) and stretchy, which contributes to a better outdoor experience. The Outdoor Tech Jacket made of Power Shield replaces traditional fleece and traditional layering systems during outdoor activities while reducing the weight and number of coatings needed to provide adequate insulation and protection.
